Celebrating Amber Creek Farm at Farmer's Daughters
At Farmer’s Daughters, our menu begins long before it reaches the kitchen. It starts in Gippsland, in its soil, its seasons, and with the farmers who care deeply for both. One of those producers is Amber Creek Farm, a regenerative farm in Fish Creek whose pasture-raised pork plays an important role in our farm-to-table philosophy.
Farming with Purpose
Amber Creek Farm is run by Dan and Amelia Bright, who have built their operation around regenerative principles that improve soil health, increase biodiversity, and work within closed-loop systems that minimise waste. Their approach reflects the values we hold close at Farmer’s Daughters, thoughtful farming, respect for animals, and food produced with integrity.
Their pigs are raised outdoors, free to roam and forage as nature intended. The animals are pasture-raised and fed a carefully considered diet that includes locally sourced inputs, contributing to both flavour and environmental sustainability. Rotational paddocking ensures the land is rested and naturally fertilised, strengthening the soil for future seasons.
For us, this is not just a supply relationship. It is a shared philosophy.
From Gippsland Paddock to Melbourne Plate
The quality of Amber Creek pork is immediately evident in the kitchen. The depth of flavour, clean fat profile, and beautiful texture speak to the way the animals are raised. It is produce that does not need over-complication. It simply needs respect.
At Farmer’s Daughters, we use Amber Creek products in ways that highlight their integrity. Whether it is thoughtfully prepared cuts or house-made small goods, the focus is always on allowing the ingredient to tell its story. Each dish becomes a conversation between farmer and chef, between Gippsland and Melbourne.
Strengthening the Regional Food Story
Our restaurant was created to celebrate Gippsland, its farmers, its coastline, and its rolling green hills. Partnering with producers like Amber Creek Farm allows us to showcase the region’s richness in a way that is authentic and transparent.
When guests dine with us, they are not just enjoying a meal. They are experiencing the result of careful stewardship of land and livestock. They are tasting the outcome of regenerative farming practices that prioritise long-term sustainability over short-term yield.
A Shared Commitment
At its heart, Farmer’s Daughters exists to honour the farmers behind the food. Amber Creek Farm represents the future of Australian agriculture, community-minded, environmentally responsible, and uncompromising on quality.
We are proud to bring their pork from the paddocks of Fish Creek to our kitchen, and ultimately to your table. It is a true reflection of Gippsland’s generosity and the power of farm-to-table done properly.
